Florence, SC – Ronnie Lanier Harris, 74, went to be with his heavenly father on Friday, August 11, 2023 at the McLeod Hospice House.
A memorial service will be Thursday, August 17th at 4:00 p.m. in Greenwood Baptist Church.
He was born in Florence, and graduated from Southside High School in 1968.
He served in the United States Army and then retired from DuPont as Traffic Manager after 42 years of service. He attended Greenwood Baptist Church.
Ronnie is survived by, in addition to his wife of 54 years, Mona Vause Harris; his children, Monica Harris Woodberry (Scott), Crissy Harris Jones (Kyle), and Ron Harris (Heather); his eight grandchildren, Mason and Cooper Woodberry, Ella Kate, Carolina and Emily Jones, Griffin, Addison and Jaxson Harris. He is also survived by cousins, Randy Lynch, Billy Lee and his lifelong friend, Clifford Frye. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Lennie Mae Harris; his brother, Larry Harris; mother and father in law, Rudolph and Ruby Vause.
