Ronald Lee Senft, 82, of Florence, South Carolina, passed away May 13, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House after a lengthy illness. He was born in York, Pennsylvania, to Jeremiah Senft and Ruth Peace (Morton) Senft on June 8, 1940. He grew up in Stoverstown with his 2 brothers, working on farms, having fun with cousins and neighborhood friends, and taking care of his goat and dog. He attended Spring Grove High School (class of 1959), where he played basketball and later met Faith (Seyler) Senft, his wife of 61 years.
He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company as a machine operator where he met many more lifelong friends before retiring in 1998 after 30 years.
Ron enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques, miniature train sets, puttering around the garage, and gardening. He loved telling stories and entertaining, and especially loved spending time with his wife, Faith, his children and grandchildren.
Ron is proceeded in death by his parents and his niece, Heather Seyler. He is survived by his wife, Faith; children: Holly and Tom Fronczak of Florence, SC, Christina and Chuck Danner of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren: Hunter Rock, Derek Fronczak and Olivia Fronczak, two brothers: Richard Senft, and Jerald Senft; as well as beloved brother and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and dear friends.
