Robbie Nesbitt, Jr.

Lynchburg, SC – Robert Francis “Robbie” Nesbitt, Jr., 79 passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens.   The family will speak to those attending after the service. The family will receive friends and visitors at other times at the home of Jay and Sheila Jordan at 10845 Lynches River Road, Lynchburg, SC 29080.

Mr. Nesbitt was born in Sumter County, the son of the late Robert F. Nesbitt, Sr. and the late Mildred Moore Nesbitt Farrell.   He was the President of Nesbitt Transportation in Lynchburg, SC.  Robbie was involved with many organizations in  Lynchburg and Sumter County.  He served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion in Lynchburg, SC.  He served as a Lieutenant in the Sumter County Fire Department.  Robbie was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Lynchburg.

He was married to the late Diane Dorriety Nesbitt until her death in 2016.

Surviving are a son, Tim (Melissa) Nesbitt; daughter, Sheila (Jay) Jordan; grandchildren, Chandler Elle Jordan, and Cameron Nesbitt Jordan.  He is preceded in death by a brother, Phil Nesbitt.

Mr. Nesbitt's family would like to thank his Caregivers, Janette Jones, Patsy McFadden and Tara McWhite for the special care given to him.
