Nancy Elizabeth Carmon

Florence, SC – Nancy Elizabeth Carmon, 73, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday Dec. 20, 2022. 

Memorial services will be Monday, Dec. 26, 2022 in the chapel at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. before the service.

Nancy was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Eunice and Thelma Lynch Yarborough.  She was a graduate of JC Lynch High School and the owner of a Daycare service for more than 30 years.

Nancy was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, where she once served as a Childrens’s Church teacher.  She was a devoted wife, momma, grandmother, sister and Babysitter.  Nancy loved cooking for everyone and loved her yard full of flowers.

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Hansel Carmon, Jr; daughters, Tonya (Rusty) Ard, Hope (Jake) Hutchinson; brother, Thomas Yarborough; sister, Ruby (Lynwood) Floyd and her three loving grandsons, Dalton and Colton Hutchinson and Noah Ard.  She is preceded in death by sisters, Cecil  Faye Yarborough, Margaret “Betty’ Yarborough, Deborah Miller and Susan Brown.
