Linda Blackwell Dunn

Linda Blackwell Dunn, 80, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. 

Born in Darlington County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Mary Mixon Blackwell. She was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and especially her grands and great-grands. Her dog, "Lil Bit" held a very special place in her heart. 

She is survived by her son, Marty Tolson (Christie); daughter, Teresa Tolson Edmiston; sister, Judy Blackwell Kelly; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Willie Hutchinson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Dunn; brothers, Robert Legrande "Mojo" Blackwell, Otis "Junebug" Blackwell, Jr.; sister, Clarice Blackwell Billingsley; son-in-law, William Edmiston; granddaughter, Holly Tolson.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Lake Swamp Baptist Church. Dr.  Joe Willard will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Thursday at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Teresa.

Memorial may be made to Lake Swamp Baptist Church or the McLeod Hospice House.
