Obituary
Florence, SC – Joseph Liston Poston, 73 formerly of Timmonsville, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in a local Healthcare Facility.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Peniel Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Mr. Poston was born in Florence County, the son of the late Spencer McLeod and Itelene Poston. He was employed with Florence County Water and Sewer as a maintenance service repairman.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Carolyn Morris Poston; daughters, Rebecca Poston, Molly (Stephen) Lewis, Carol (Michael) Foxworth, Zelda (Chester) Adams, Lisa (Ronnie) Griggs; brothers, Jerald Poston and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brother, Bennett Ray Poston.
