Timmonsville, SC – John Phillip Linton, 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Lamar Memorial Cemetery in Lamar. The family will have a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before the service at the church.
John was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Charles “Charlie” and Dorothy Devine Linton. He was employed by Marsh Lumber Company of Pamplico, SC for more than 30 years.
Surviving are his wife and best friend of 23 years, Wanda Howell Linton; two daughters, Corrie (Joseph) Farrar of Conway, Jinnie Linton and “his future son-in-law”, Kenneth Brice of Villa Rica, GA; step-children, Vonda Turner of Timmonsville and Corey Ward of Lamar; five grandchildren, Hunter Ward, Dylan Ward, Keaton Ward, Montanna Ward and Kennedy Farrar; sister, Charlotte Kleinhelter of Louisville, KY; brother, Ronald Linton of GA.
