Florence, SC - James (Jimmy) Ray Lynch passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at the age of 74.
Graveside services will be held at Florence National Cemetery at 10:00 am on Friday, February 12, 2021. The family will have a drop-by visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021. You are asked to wear your mask and social distancing will be observed.
James, known as Jimmy to all that knew him, was born in Sumter, South Carolina. He was the son of the late, Leo Lynch and Cecilia Connor Lynch. He was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from New Millennium Steel. He loved fishing, shooting pool, his Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Dorothy (Dot) Lynch; sons, Tony Allenczy (Lisa) of Florence SC, Jeff Allenczy (Kathleen) of Wilmington, NC and James Ray “JR” Lynch II (Rebecca) of Aiken SC; daughter, Crystal Sottile (Chris) of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Chris, Courtney, Jennifer, Amber, CJ, Brandon, Alex, Jameson, Luca, Braxton, and Carmela; four (4) great-grandchildren, Savanna, Emory, Chesney, and Olivia. He is survived by a sister, Janet Russ (Ronnie) of Florence, SC; brother, Cecil Lynch (Jackie) of Raeford, NC. He also had many wonderful nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, LeGrande Lynch, Rue Allen Lynch, Joe Lynch and sisters, Helen Perkins and Ruby Evans.
