Effingham, SC - Helmer Charles “Chuck” Greene, Jr.  87, passed away on March 19, 2023 after an illness.

A memorial service will be Monday, April 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Florence National Cemetery.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Mr. Greene was born in Mahnomen, Minnesota, the son of the late Helmer Charles Greene, Sr. and Rose Beaupre Greene.  He was the owner of H.C. Greene Land Clearing.

H.C. was married to the late Mary Louise Steen Greene.

Surviving are three sons; Ray (Joyce) Greene, Ricky Greene, Gene Greene; a daughter, Jennifer Greene; brothers, Gorman and Rodney; sisters, Corrine and Lenore and his six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.   He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Wayne  Greene and daughter, Rosemary Greene, two grand-children, Chris Humphrey and Ric Greene.
