Timmonsville, SC – Gladys Pigate Lee, 87, passed away on Wednesday, Jan.22, 2020.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery, Timmonsville. The family will have a time of visitation Friday, Jan. 24, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Gladys was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Hoyt and Leolun Vause Pigate. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She sang in the Church choir, taught a Sunday school class, member of the WMU and participated in other church activities. She worked in her early career as an Inventory Controller at Wickes, Inc. Later, she retired from Builders First Choice Building Supply of Florence.
Gladys was married to the late David Lee.
Surviving are two daughters, Ren (Russ) Vallier; Susan (Blaire) Anthony; brother, Joseph (Priscilla) Pigate; sisters, Lynette Baker and Bobby Lamb; grandchildren, Katelyn (Matthew) Peake, David Weatherly, Jessica (Dean) Fowler, Lauren Lupo, and Emily Cromer; six great-grandchildren, Grayson and Ayden Peake, Caleb and Gavin Fowler, Myra-Blaire Lupo, Nate Anthony. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Cromer; brothers, Randy Pigate and Robbie Pigate; sister, Willie Lee Johnson.
