Gayle (Welch) Britt

Coward, SC – Judy Gayle Britt, 76, passed away on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 in a local Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.  The family will have a time of visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

Judy was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Glennie and Frances Anderson Welch.  She was a member at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Gayle enjoyed her family, sharing time with friends and being a homemaker.

Surviving are four daughters, Tracey (Sammie) Evans, Dawn Dill, Melissa Britt, Amy (Tim) Springs; three brothers, Bobby (Jeanette) Welch, Gerald (Joyce) Welch, Randy (Brenda) Welch; sister, Linda (LaVon) Matthews; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
