Frances Salgueiro Obituary

Timmonsville, SC - On Friday, October 1, 2021, Frances Salgueiro left this earth and her loving family to join her Savior, Jesus Christ.  Her faith has now become sight.

A graveside service will be Monday, Oct. 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Lake City First Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Frances was born in Lake City to Eddie and Vermell  McGee Marsh.  She attended school in Lake City and later obtained a degree from Trident Technical College in Charleston. Frances was a homemaker and lived her life with a servant’s heart and a loving spirit.  She cared deeply for others, often preparing meals for people who were sick or had lost a loved one.  She considered it a privilege to pray for others and wrote hundreds of notes and cards to those she knew needed an encouraging word.  When her health was good, she enjoyed walking and tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her loving, dedicated husband of 41 years, Lou Salgueiro;  son, Richie (Janet) Porter; daughter, Jennie Singletary;  grandchildren:  Cameron (Sara) Porter, Chase Porter, Josh (Tara) Goodwin, Jody Goodwin; three great-grandchildren:  Taylor, Mikayla, and Logan Goodwin.;brother, Eddie (Cheryl) Marsh, Jr; sisters, Linda Webster and Betty (Percy) Godwin.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at The Manor and McLeod Hospice for the love and care they provided Frances and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Gideon’s International, P O Box 922, Florence, SC  29501,  or The McLeod Foundation, C/O McLeod Hospice, P O Box 100551, Florence, SC 29501.
