Timmonsville, SC – Foster William Sanders, Sr, 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 24, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Palmetto Street Church of God. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 1:00 to 2:30 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home
Mr. Sanders was born in Timmonsville, the son of the late Henry Edward and Rose Lee Freeman Sanders. He was a Welder and worked with So-Car and Vulcraft for many years.
Foster attended Palmetto Street Church of God. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with his buddy, Willie Carter. He was a member of the Pinewood and Pearce Hunting Club and the Wolf and Kelly Hunting Club.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Margaret Matthews Sanders; his children, Rusty (Denise) Sanders, Pam (Gary) Howard, Jay (Tina) Sanders, newly adopted, Bubba (Marie) Salisbury, Bill Llewellyn, Levi Graham, Louise Jones; brothers, Monroe (Brenda) Sanders, Floyd (Teresa),Sanders; sisters, Angie (Randy) Evans, Ruby (Jack) Teal, Betty Dry, Lillian Marlowe; grandchildren, Lainey , Jaylyn, Jeremy , Zack , Malakai ; great-grandchildren, Aria, Killian, London, Zackary, Hayden, Alexander, EJ, Nicco, Caitlin and Devon. He is preceded in death by brothers, Harrison Sanders, Johnny Sanders, sisters, Dorothy Blackman, Mary Llewellyn.
