Lynchburg, SC – Edna Earle Stokes Logan, 87, passed away on Thursday, Sept.23, 2021.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021at 4:00 p.m. at Lynchburg First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Tabernacle Cemetery, Lynchburg. The family will have a time of visitation Saturday Sept. 25, 2021 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Edna Earle was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Cole B. Stokes and Minnie Pearl Lee Stokes. She was married to the late Clinton O’Neil Logan, Sr.
As a member of Lynchburg First Baptist Church, she was an active choir member, taught Sunday School and served in various church activities. She worked at Turbeville Manufacturing and later was the Gallary Manager for Locklair Art for 12 years. Edna Earle was active member of the Lynchburg American Legion Auxillary and served as Chaplin. She was very active in the community, and she enjoyed outings with family and friends.
Edna Earle was lovingly called “Ma Ma” by family. She lived out her Christian faith daily and was a devoted mother and grandmother that fed her family with words of faith, love, stories of life experience, wisdom, and of course food…..lots and lots of food.
Surviving are sons, Cary (Jan) Logan, Michael O’Neil (Jean) Logan, Clinton O’Neil Logan, Jr.; three sisters, Mary (Eric) Wright, Colie L Stokes, Annie Pearl (Mac) Hatchell; Seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Griffith and son Mark Logan.
