Florence, SC – Most beloved, Annie Gee McKay Catoe, 95, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. before the service at the Mausoleum.
Annie was born in Timmonsville, SC, the daughter of the late John Henry Gee and the late Lucille Anderson Gee. Annie was a graduate of Elim High School and attended Winthrop College. She was a long time member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and presently a member of Peniel Baptist Church.
Annie was retired from Florence School District # 4 as Federal Programs Coordinator.
Annie was 1st married to the late Willie M. McKay, Sr. and then to the late Archie Catoe, Sr.
Surviving are sons, Will (Laura) McKay, Mark (Betsy) McKay; daughter, Karen (Bryan) Calcutt; step-sons, Art (Jane) Catoe, step-daughter, Teresa (Alan) Welch; grandchildren, Heather (Ray) Willis, Brooke (Carlos) Benatzky, Brittany (Jordan) Lawhon, Kate Calcutt and Ellie McKay; step-grandchildren, Al (Allison) Welch, Amy (Neal) Mattison, Courtney (Greg) Ruminski, Art (Samantha) Catoe and 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a son, John Walter McKay, sisters, Jonnie Gee Collins, Barbara Gee Mozingo, Lillian Gee Turner.
