Annelle Watson Obituary

Annelle Weatherford Watson, age 85, peacefully went to be with the Lord in Heaven on July 21, 2020. Born on April 17, 1935, she was the child of Lonnie and Pearl Moore Weatherford and foster daughter of her Aunt Mae and Uncle Ted Kelly. She was married 61 years to Julian Park Watson until his death in 2013. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Nora Lee Vaughan and brothers, William (Bill) and Paul Weatherford.

She is survived by her sons, Mitch Watson and Scott Watson. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Friar and grandchildren, Hannah Friar, Hallie Friar Price (Evan), Bray Friar, J.P. Watson, Cara Watson and Thomas Watson. She is also survived by a half-sister, Carol Moore and sister-in-laws, Christine Bryant, Van D’Amico, Andy Owens, Mickey Watson, and Peggy Weatherford.

She worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company. Afterwards she became a homemaker to raise her children. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, sewing, gardening and reading. She was known for her handwritten notes of encouragement often including helpful clippings from magazines and newspapers. She faithfully attended Church at King Avenue. She also attended Tabernacle Methodist Church growing up. Due to Covid-19, a private celebration of life service was held at Tabernacle Methodist Church, Pamplico, SC. Contributions may be made to Church at King Avenue, 800 W. King Avenue, Florence, SC 29501 or Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 6758 Francis Marion Road, Pamplico, SC.
