Woodrow E. "Kenny" Kirby, 66, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 4, 2025 from an illness.

A funeral service with visitation will be Friday afternoon, March 7, 2025.  Visitation begins at 2:00 p.m. before the service.  The service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence.

Mr. Kirby was born in Florence County, the son of the late Woodrow Kenneth and Albertine Dimery Kirby.  "Kenny" was a residential carpenter for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Cooper Kirby; two daughters, Michelle (Kodey) Johnson, Kelsey Kirby, Lindsey (Justin) Alexander; brother, Terry (Alicia) Chapman; three sisters, Lori (Kevin) Sattele, Elizabeth "Libby" Kirby, Jackie Howell; his three grandchildren, Layton, Wyett and Rivers.  He also leaves a special cousin, Charles "Chuck" Mitchell.
