Willis N. Hill, 83, left this earthly life to gain his place in the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday morning August 14, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Hill was born in Timmonsville, SC, the son of Walter E. and Maude Stricklen Hill.   He was a graduate of Clemson University. After graduation he worked for Farmers Home Administration in Florence and Darlington before retiring.   Following his retirement he went to work with the Alligator Water Works in Chesterfield and Darlington Counties.  Not ready for retirement again, he was employed as Director of the South Carolina Rural Water Assoc.  Willis  was an active member of Sardis Baptist Church and active in many men's activities, including teaching Sunday School for over 50 years.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Mildred Anderson Hill; son, Scott (Julie) Hill; daughter, Paula (Richard) Abbott; sisters, Helen Goss, Mable Jane (Meredith) Watson, Faye (Albert) Nissen, Nelva (Jerry) Evans; four grandchildren, Taylor (Nick) Altman, Grace Abbott, Kelsey (Ethan) Johnson, Nelson Hill.  He is preceded in death by two sisters, Frances McKay and Frankie O'Neal.
