Florence SC – William L. "Bill" Hester, Jr. died peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2022.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church, Darlington, SC.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at High Noon at the church on May 5, 2022.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Mstr/Sgt. William L. Hester, Sr. and the late Elma Rose Yocom Hester.  He served his country in the US Army at Fort Jackson.  He was a very active member of Midway Baptist Church.

Bill was retired from Dillon Yarn Company as Engineer Manager.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Faye Sinclair Hester; daughter, Melissa Williamson; sister, Barbara (Larry) Lewis; two grandsons, Mason and Brandon and a large number of family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Judith Bass.
