Timmonsville - William Franklin Everette "Wil" Gleason, 22, died on May 19, 2016 after a brave and courageous battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Florence Memoria Gardens. Visitation will be today (Sunday) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Wil was born in Florence County, the son of William "Dale" and Belinda "Bunnie" Tedder Gleason. He was a young caring spirit that was involved as a counselor with Camp Happy Days, he was an active member of Courageous kids, he participated in the Field of Dreams Foundation. He loved to play the saxophone, guitar and piano.

Surviving are his parents of Timmonsville; brother, Dustin Gleason; sister, Katie Gleason both of Timmonsville; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth "Lib" Tedder, Florence and paternal grandmother, Doris Nance, Hartsville and aunts, uncles and cousins.
