Wayne L. Taylor

Sumter, SC – Wayne Len Taylor, 83, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. before the service.

Born in Darlington County, SC, he was the son of the late Glenn and Alma Amerson Taylor.  Before retiring, Wayne was a truck driver for Campbell Soup Company and Carolina Golden Products of Sumter.   He was an avid fisherman.

He was married to the late Dorothy "Deane" Anderson Taylor.

Surviving is a son, Len (Debbie) Taylor; daughter, Tammy (Charles) Knight; brothers, William Taylor, Billy (Eula Jean) Taylor, and Charles Taylor; sisters, Marian Hagood, and Judy (Don) Kellum and his grandchildren, Dana (Joey) Griffin, Brandon Knight, Timothy Knight, Justin Taylor, Scott Taylor; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and brother-in-law, Howell (Sue) Anderson.  He is preceded in death by three grandchildren, Jason Len Taylor, Amanda Taylor Rhodes and Patrick Taylor.
