Effingham, SC – Wayne Stewart Greene, 61, passed away on July 9, 2022 after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation following the service until 7:30  p.m.

Wayne was born in Darlington, the son of Helmer Charles "HC" Greene and the late Mary Louise Steen Greene. He worked in sales throughout his life.

Surviving are his father; three brothers, Ray (Joyce) Greene, Ricky Greene, Gene Greene and sister, Jennifer Greene; a number of nieces and nephews.  He is preceded by a sister, Rosemary Greene and two nephews, Chris Humphrey and Ric Greene.
