Florence,  SC- Virginia Cox Mack, 96, went to her heavenly home on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Florence Memorial Gardens.  Entombment will follow the service.  The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mack was born in Timmonsville, SC, the daughter of the late  Ezra and Ella Morris Cox.

She was a member of Elim Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Florence Johnson Circle, and the Joy Club of the church.  She was a member of the Sensational Seniors Bible Study that met on Mondays.   She enjoyed attending activities at the Leatherman Senior Center.  Virginia retired from Sarah Lee Hosiery as a Production Inspector.

She was married to the late Raymond Mack who passed away in 2004.

Surviving are two sons, James Edwin (Donna) Mack, Raymond S. (Fran) Mack,II; daughter, Sheila Hayes; granddaughters, Susan Bryson, Tiffany McDaniel, Tammy Sarvis, Crystal Mack and Lisa Matthews and a number of great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by brothers, John, Stanley and E.I.Cox, sisters, Dolly, Ida Mae, Pearl, Mary Sue and Carrie and her granddaughter, Nickie Joyner.
