Ulrich Peter Paul Jacob, 81, of Florence, SC, entered into eternal rest on September 20, 2024. Born on September 16, 1943, in Eilenburg, Germany, he was the beloved son of Grete and Karl Jacob.

Ulrich's greatest love was for Christ, whose teachings guided him in all that he did. He was an active member of multiple churches, where he sang in the choir, went on mission trips, participated in prayer groups and Bible studies, and even met the love of his life, Inga Jacob, while ministering to others. His faith shaped his character and inspired those around him.

Ulrich is survived by his son David Jacob, daughter-in-law Carmen Jacob, and grandchildren Cara Pope, Annalisa Jacob, and Ori Jacob. He cherished his family and regularly visited them on the West Coast to swim and hike.

A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Ulrich served for over 20 years, embodying the values of duty and honor. His love for submarines nearly matched his love for his family.

A celebration of Ulrich's life will be held on September 25, 2024, at 11 AM at Florence National Cemetery.

Ulrich will be remembered for his patience, kindness, intelligence, humor, work ethic, welcoming spirit, and unwavering faith in God. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed until we meet again in Heaven.
