Florence - Travis Dean Price, 78, died at his residence on March 8, 2016 after an illness.

A graveside service will be Friday, March 11, 2016 at 12:00 in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Florence. The family will speak to those in attendance after the service.

Mr. Price was born in Sumter, SC, the son of the late Travis Elree and Mary Anderson Price. Dean was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy reserves for 8 years. He was in the family timber business before going into sales. Dean loved fishing, golfing and the Gamecocks. He also played baseball with Florence County. He coached little league baseball for many years. Dean was active with the youth groups in Evergreen Baptist Church, RA's, Sunday School and BTU teaching.

Surviving are a son, Travis Dean Price, Jr, Florence; two daughters, Annette P. (Joe) Eason, Donna P. (Scott) Ross all of Florence; a brother, Wendell Price, Florence; six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers, James Sherwood and Elree Ray Price.

In lieu of flowers memorials by may be made to the Angelman Foundation, C/O FAST, PO Box 608, Downers Grove, Illinois, 60515-0608 in honor of his great-granddaughter, Brittan Coker.

The family would like to thank the staff of McLeod Hospice for their care during their father's Illness.
