Timmonsville, SC - Tiney Rachel McKenzie, 89, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 11, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the chapel at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon before the service at the funeral home.  A private burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. McKenzie was born in York, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Oliver and Cora Brown Lovelace.  She worked at Shoney's for many years.  Tiney was a volunteer with Senior Care.

Tiney was married to the late Emerson Frank McKenzie.

Surviving are two sons, James (Frances) McKenzie and Lloyd (Sarah Lynn) McKenzie; two daughters, JoAnn (Samuel) Turbeville and Jeanette Rachel Fowler; brother, Bill (Fran) Lovelace; fourteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by brothers, Weldon and Eugene Lovelace and sisters, Libby Brown, Ida Jean Payne and Betty Radcliff and her great-granddaughter, Megan McKenzie.
