Thomas "Tommy" O'Reilly III, age 87, passed away peacefully after a long illness to be with our Lord.

Born in Macon, Georgia, Tommy was a resident of the Florence area for over 50 years. He dedicated his life to serving the trucking industry as the co-owner of ORCO Trucking and the owner of O'Reilly Truck Repair. He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas O'Reilly Jr. and Hattie O'Reilly; his siblings, Hugh O'Reilly, Bobby O'Reilly, Helen Bassett, and Pat Hicks; his children, Cheryl Ann Veal and Thomas "Little Tommy" O'Reilly IV; and a special nephew, Jerry Christopher "Chris" O'Reilly.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret O'Reilly; his children, Tina O'Reilly Anderson (Terry), Sheryl Lynn O'Reilly Aman (John), and Alan Paul Lane (Lori); a special niece, Serena Bullock O'Reilly; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as sisters, Harriett Holliday and Sandra Smith.

The family extends a heartfelt special thanks to the team at Your Health Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time, especially Charity, Sarah, and Destiny, as well as Leslie, Brooke, and Dakota from Your Health.

The family will hold a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Quinby Baptist Church and will have a visitation one hour prior to the service.
