Terri A. Davis

Florence, SC – Terri Anita Davis, 70, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation after the service on Saturday.

Ms. Davis was born in Greenwood, SC, the daughter of Lois Hughes Davis and the late Charles Edgar Davis. After graduating from Greenwood High School, Terri attended Clemson University for two years, then transferred to MUSC and obtained her degree in Pharmacy.

Terri started her career as a pharmacist at MUSC in Charleston for several years, then moved to Roper Hospital in Charleston until 1987. She moved to Florence and continued her career with Carolinas Hospital system (now MUSC Florence) until she retired in 2018.

Terri was an avid football fan and a lifelong supporter of IPTAY. She loved her Clemson Tigers. She was also a big animal lover and always had dogs; Pandy1, Pandy 2, Freckles, Murphy, Holly and then little Asher. Terri loved talking to people and never met a stranger.

Survivors are her mother of Florence, Lois Davis; brother, Charles "Charlie"  Hughes (Paige) Davis; two nephews, Charles Tyler (Madeleine) Davis, Hunter Hughes Davis and two grand-nephews, Charles Kennedy Davis, and Evander Mark Davis.  Terri was very close to her cousin, Pat Johnson (Will) Davidson, and their children, William, and Elizabeth. She also leaves her best friends of 45 years, Pam and Ray Moore and their daughter, Dylan who was like her beloved niece.
