Florence, SC –Tally Richard Howell, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022.

Graveside services will be Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Timmonsville.   The family will speak to those attending after the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Howell was born in Lamar, SC, the son of Tally Ernest and Blanche Copeland Howell.  He served his country in the US Air Force.  He was a  graduate of Francis Marion College.   Richard worked for the State of Georgia as a Probation Officer.  He was a very active member of  the American  Legion Chapter in Georgia and served as a Commander of his local chapter.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Tony (Delle) Howell, Paul (Wendy) Howell, Robert (Rebecca) Howell, Dodd (Tammy) Howell, Tiffany (Andy) Belflower, Andy (Tonya) Howell.  He is preceded in death by two brothers, David Howell and George Howell.
