Lamar, SC. – Susie Ethelene Cobb Parker, 45, went home to be with the Lord  Friday, May 10, 2019. The family will receive visitation from family and friends Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Celebration of life will Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.  Interment will follow at Mt. Hebron Free Will Baptist Church, Cassatt, SC.

Susie was born in Kershaw County, the daughter of late Billy Boykin and Glenda Jean Cobb. She graduated from Wilson High School in Florence, SC in 1992. Susie is remembered mostly by her bubbly personality and the love for her family. She enjoyed singing to her favorite country songs and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Susie was the Manager for Palmetto and Cappi Cleaners on 2nd Loop Road in Florence for many years.

Survivors are her mother of Lamar; two sons, James Parker,Jr, of Florence and Michael Parker of Kentucky; a daughter, Ashley Parker of Lamar; two brothers, Christopher (Toni) Cobb of Florence and Brock Potter of Lamar; three sisters,Torie Hawkins, Brandi (Robby) Hilburn and Bridget (Charlie) Bazen all of Darlington; maternal grandmother, Sarah Hewitt of Lamar, and her six grandchildren, Christa Parker, Blake Parker, Chloe Parker, James Graves, Noah Parker, Kinsley Parker and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandfather, Willard Nolan Cobb; maternal step-grandfather, Lacy Hewitt, maternal great-grandmother, Susie McCaskill, and maternal great-grandfather, Charlie McCaskill.
