William "Steward" Elmore, 71, passed away to his heavenly home on Friday April 19, 2024.

Graveside services will be Monday, April 22, 2024 at 2:30 at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC.  The family will greet family and friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home before the service.

Mr. Elmore was born in Florence County, the son of the late William Kelly Elmore and Emma Lee Russ Elmore. He was a Machinist at ESAB (L-TEC) before its closing.  Steward enjoyed cooking for all to come and eat.  Other interests were camping and spending time with his family. Spending  time with his grandchildren and his canine companion, Millie were special times for him.

He was married to the late Priscilla Elmore, who passed away in 2021.

Surviving are two sons, Eddie Elmore and wife Pamela, Brad Elmore; brother, William Kelly (Mamie) Elmore, Jr.; two sisters, Linda (Tommy) Hatfield, Patricia Allen and those special grandchildren, Austin, Gracee and Stacee, Hunter, Angel and four great-grandchildren and "Millie"  his canine companion.
