Shirley Ward Holliday, 87, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday evening October 29, 2024.

Memorial services will be Sunday, November  3, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will receive visitors and family beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Funeral Home on Sunday.

Mrs. Holliday was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Earl and Iris Dorriety Ward.  Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church of Timmonsville.

She was first married to the late L.G. Harris, the father of her children and her second marriage to James G. Holliday.

Surviving are daughter, Debbie and husband Jimmy Lee Herring; son, Steve Harris; granddaughter, Lindsey Nicole Herring.  She is preceded in death by 5 brothers, Arnold, Marion, Billy, Don and Alvin Ward.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the staff at Bethea Baptist Home and the Gentiva Hospice for the care and service shown to their mother.
