Shawn Hobson Peters , loving wife, mother and daughter, sister and friend to many, closed her eyes in this earthly life, gained her Wings and went to the open arms of her heavenly Father on Friday afternoon, August 30, 2024.

Funeral services will be at First Free Will Baptist Church, Florence, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2024, with interment to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will have a time of Visitation on Tuesday evening, September 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Shawn was born in Florence County, the daughter of Johnny F. and Gale Bischke Hobson.  She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.  She worked with McLeod Family Practice in Timmonsville from the time she graduated as a Radiology Technician "Jack-of-all-trades".   She loved her family and spending time with them. Fishing was one of her favorite outdoor passions, feeding her ducks and putting together puzzles.

Surviving are her husband of ten years, Patrick J. Peters; daughters, Kaylee Gibbs, Hannah Gibbs, Cydney Turner, Kristen (Wayne) Gamble, Caroline Peters; son, Donnelly (Sara) Peters; sister, Angie (Jimmy) Bessenger; nephews, Tyler and Christopher; grandchildren, Laura Grace Gamble, Olivia Gamble and Konner Gamble, Maggie Jones.
