Lillian Sharon Wilkes-Wise, 79, entered into rest on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Born in Columbia SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles Wilkes and the late Helen Barker Wilkes.

Sharon was a woman of deep faith who loved God and her church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and she also enjoyed the outdoors. She will be missed dearly.

Surviving are her son, Dicky Wise (Patti); granddaughter, Marissa Godbold; brother, Kenny Wilkes (Jeanne).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Erin Wise; sister, Dora Ann Roche.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jamie Weatherford will officiate with burial to follow in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
