Florence- Sharon Fike Thames, 62, died in a local hospital on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.

A Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Florence. Entombment will follow the service at Florence Memorial Gardens. A Christian Wake service will be held in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends afterwards until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Thames was born in Circleville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ronald D and Mary Margaret Nelson Fike. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Sharon was a graduate of Francis Marion University, with a degree in early education.

Surviving are her husband, Carlisle "Buddy" Thames; a daughter, Mary Frances Thames; a brother, Andrew "Andy" Fike and his wife, Connie; a grandchild, Bentley Johnson, nephew T.J. Thames, nieces, Courtney Elizabeth Fike, Lauren Addison Fike, great-nephew, Hunter Daniel Boss and great- niece, Haley Elizabeth Fike and a host of close friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Buddy Thames, 3821 Dominion Court or Andy Fike 3562 Tennessee Terrace, Florence, SC.
