Florence, SC – Sharon Penley McDowell, 60, passed away on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022.

A memorial service will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Mrs. McDowell was born in Bennettsville, SC, the daughter of the late William Andrew and Rosa Lee Grant Penley

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, James McDowell; two sons, Josh McDowell and James McDowell, Jr; sister, Pamela (Jack) Lockey; grandchild, RosaLeigh McDowell who was the light of her life; a number of nieces and nephews.
