Florence- Serena Morris White, 87, died on Nov. 16, 2016.

A funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Nov.17, 2016. Visitation will immediately follow the service until 8:00 p.m. There will be an interment at the National Cemetery in Florence on Friday, Nov. 18,2016 at 9:00 a.m.

Serena was born in Olanta, SC. the youngest daughter of the late William Ellison and Ethel Bell Lee Morris. She was a member of Effingham Presbyterian Church.

She was married to the late Victor D. White.

Surviving are: a son, Daniel (Robin) White, Charlottesville, VA; two daughters, Linda (Joe) Broadwell, Florence, Serena Norris, Thomson, GA.; five grandchildren, Joe Broadwell, Jr, Julia (Chad) Jernigan, Lucas, Katie and Dixon White; three great-grandchildren Chloe, Atticus, and Brody. Serena is preceded in death by brothers, Carrol, Merritt, Guy, Ivan, W.E. and DeVon Morris, three sisters, Rhunette Keels, Nell Cusaac and Anita Morris, and her son-in-law, Danny Norris.
