Timmonsville, SC- Sarah Ham Wilkes, 86, went to her heavenly home on Monday evening July 11, 2016.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Lake Swamp Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery directed by Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. The family will receive friends at other times at 5841 Oates Hwy, Timmonsville.

Mrs. Wilkes was born in Darlington County, SC, the daughter of the late Caleb and Kathleen Weaver Ham. Sarah was a graduate of Timmonsville High School. She was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church. Sarah was retired as Secretary from the Darlington County School District.

She was married to the late Joe M. Wilkes.

Surviving are her daughters, Kathy (Alan) Poole, Lamar, Gina (Kyle) Kenyon, Timmonsville; sister, Myrtle Weaver Ham, Timmonsville; grandchildren, Miles, Joshua and Caleb Poole.
