Timmonsville, SC – Russell Eugene Witherspoon, 61, passed away on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022.

The family will have a time of visitation Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.

Mr. Witherspoon was born in Florence County, the son of the late Russell and Virginia Young Witherspoon.  He was a Mechanic with United Rentals formally Richburg Sales and Rentals.

Russell enjoyed his family, working on small engines in his spare time, camping, fishing and being outdoors.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberly Young Witherspoon; son, Andy (Sara) Witherspoon; daughter, Savanna (Dustin) Weible; sister, Elaine (Mark) Severance; step-daughter, Mindy Altman and his grandchildren, Wells Weible, Ian Weible, Elliott Witherspoon, Holden Altman, Parish Williams, Jaden Ellerby, K.J. Ellerby.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Debra Witherspoon Jones, step-daughter, Crystal C. Altman.
