Ruby Britt Ard, 93, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Born in Darlington County, Mrs. Ard was a daughter of the late Grady C. Britt, Sr. and the late Edith Hatchell Britt. She was the widow of the late William Ard and they made their home in Timmonsville for many years.

Surviving are: three sons, David Ard (Peggy), Charles Ard (Lenette), and Jeff Ard (Sharon); ten grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Lee Ard and her daughter, Loretta Ard.
