Florence, SC – Rose Marie Pierce Shaw, 85, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church, Timmonsville, SC.  The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church before the service.

Rose Marie was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Ernest Marvin and Mildred Oliver Pierce.  She was a Registered Nurse and worked at McLeod Hospital, Florence until she retired.  She was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church, Timmonsville and active in many of the church activities.

Surviving are her son, David (Donna) Shaw; daughter, Terressa "Terri" (Steve) Morrison; two brothers, Ernest, Jr (Jane) Pierce, Wayne Stanley (Vicki) Pierce; sisters, Carolyn (Ray) Hyer, Billie (Sam) Stallings; six grandchildren, Joey Bryant, Tabbetha (Jonathan) Hux, Jennifer (Iain)King, David Bradford (Allison) Shaw, Jessica Young, Jeremy Young, Ansley Morrison; four great-grands, Brice, Ryleigh, Laurie and Izzy and her son-in-law, Thomas W. "Tom" Young. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Young and great-granddaughter, Savannah Rose Hux.
