Timmonsville- Ronald Wayne Morris, Sr. 68, died suddenly on Wednesday June 29, 2016 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Mr. Morris was born in Sumter, South Carolina, the son of the late Robert Pressley, Sr. and Rita Locklair Morris.Ronnie served in the US Army in Korea. He was a Millwright with Wilhoit Millwright Services and a member of Benton Masonic Lodge #26 of Timmonsville. Some of his favorite things in life were NASCAR, Go-Karts and fishing.

Surviving are his wife of 43 year, Bonnie Parker Morris, Timmonsville; three sons, Ron (Jennifer) Morris, Blythewood, "Buster" (Jessica) Morris, Lamar, Tim Morris, Timmonsville; two brothers, Al (Harriet) Morris, Florence, Tony (Denise) Morris, Timmonsville; one sister, Sherry (Charlie) Cromer, and sister-in-law Diane Morris all of Newberry; his grandchildren, Carolin, B.J., Kameron, Kaleb, Austin, and Gabe. He is preceded in death by a brother, "Sparky" Morris.
