Ronald Edwin Turner, 84, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, 2023 in Florence National Cemetery. The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Mr. Turner was born in Swainsboro, Georgia, the son of the late Edwin L. and Sarah Rogers Turner.  He worked as a long distance truck driver before retiring.  He served his country in the US Air Force.

He was married to the late Hazel Welch Turner who passed away in May 2022.

Surviving are sons, Ronald E. Turner, Jr, Brent Turner; step-sons, David Saunders, Ronnie (Terry) Saunders, Doug (Lisa) Saunders, Rick (Sherry) Saunders; daughter Diane (Jeff) Laughlin; brothers, Billy Rodgers, Bo Turner; sister, Loretta Davis and a number of grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Rodgers.
