Roger Kent Taylor 88, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024, in the chapel of Florence Baptist Temple.  The family will have a time of visitation before the service beginning at 11:30 a.m.   A private committal will be held at Florence National Cemetery.

Mr. Taylor was born in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of the late Clarence Edward and Mildred Meikle Taylor.  He served his country in the US Air Force. Roger was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. He worked in many fields of industry during his life and in security management at Florence Airport.

Surviving are his wife, Juniata Gerard Taylor; son, Roger K. Taylor, Jr; three daughters, Eyvette (Randy) Hutchins, Kimberly Blackmon, Christina (James) Hill; brother, Keith Taylor; five grandchildren, James, Brandy, Connor, Wyatt, Sean and five great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Zarr.
