Florence, SC – Roger Shelley, 68, passed away of Tuesday, August 27, 2019.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:30 a.m.at Northgate Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Florence at 1:00 p.m. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Shelley was born in Mullins, SC, the son of Lillie Gibson Shelley and the late Howard Shelley.  He was retired from the US Army.  Roger was a member of  Northgate Baptist Church.  He was a Mason, Amity Lodge #340.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Patricia Butler Shelley; son, Roger "Bubba" Shelley; daughter, Angela (Mac) McSwain; two brothers, Thomas Shelley, Jeffrey C. Shelley; grandchildren, Lillian Ruth McSwain, Hugh Parker McSwain, Owen Cable McSwain, Drew (Mutain) McSwain.  He is preceded in death by two brothers, William Shelley and Joseph H. Shelley.
