Robin Brown Gainey, 68, passed away on Wednesday evening, Dec. 4, 2024 in the loving presence of her family.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 9, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the chapel at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville.

The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral Home.

Mrs. Gainey was born in Greenville, SC, the daughter of the late William Roy and Mary Thelma Brown.   She was Mom to four boys and a daughter.  Her family was a very important part of her life and she cherished each one of them.

Surviving are her husband, Marion Gainey; four sons, Marion Gainey, III and his wife Courtney, William Shayne Gainey, Adam Gainey, Benji McDonald; daughter, Katie Gainey; brothers, Jason (Grace) Brown, Todd Brown and Albert "Bert" Coleman; sisters, Susan (Bobby) Owens, Rhonda Griffith, Michelle Braswell and her grandchildren, Anya Gainey, Emory Gainey and Lucas Gainey. Robin is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Brown.
