Robert Lee "Robbie" Best, Jr. 71, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church. The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the service at the church. Burial will be held at the Florence National Cemetery on Monday Feb. 17 at 10:00 am. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Robbie was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, the son of the late Robert L. Best, Sr and his mother, the late Doris Smith. He served in the US Air Force for four years, later joined the Army National Guard, served in the AGR Program, and then retired as a MSG(R) with twenty years of service. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan.

Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Robin Watts Best and stepdaughter, Kimberly (Matt) Jordan. He had two children by his former wife, Sandra Best: Eric Best, and Jill (Brad) Wilkes, nine grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Also surviving are his brother, Stephen (Melissa) Best and stepmother, Libby Best. He is preceded in death by a brother, Gregg Best and sister, Charlotte Aceball.
