Florence, SC – Robert E. Parker, 67, passed away at his residence on Monday, April 23, 2018.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will follow the service at Florence Memorial Gardens. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.

Robert was born in Florence County, the son of the late Jesse Cleve and Essie Arelia Driggers Parker. He worked in the Weaving Department of Delta Mills before retiring. Robert attended the Penticostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are; his wife, Kathy Griffin Parker; a daughter, Angel (Mike Carter) Weatherford; brothers, Larry Parker, two sisters, Marjorie Parker, Sally McKnight and three grandchildren, Zachary Parker, Michael Dwayne Weatherford, Jr. and Robert Watts. He is preceded in death by a son, Thurman Eugene Parker and brothers, Zingle, Carroll, Thomas, Nelson, Randolph and Jesse Parker.

The family would like to thank Hospice of South Carolina and their nurses, Kimberly Flowers and Gwen Ham for all of the care shown during Mr. Parker's illness.
