Robert Barnard Moore, Sr., age 82, was born on March 11, 1943, in Florence, South Carolina, and passed away surrounded by the love of his family and a few of his best friends in life.

Known to family and friends simply as Barnard, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Janice Moore, and a proud father to Robert "Bobby" Barnard Moore, Jr. (Jamie Robin) and Devona Moore Cain (Curtis W. Cain). He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Ann Marie Moore, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.

A proud United States Navy Veteran, Barnard faithfully served his country, and it was during this time that he began developing the lifelong craft that would define his career — creating dentures and dental restorations that helped people smile again. After his service, he became the longtime owner of Dental Ceramics, Inc., where he was widely respected for his meticulous attention to detail, steady hands, and dedication to excellence. For more than 35 years, Barnard and Janice worked side by side in their family business, faithfully building both a livelihood and a life together through hard work and shared commitment.

Above all else, Barnard was a man of faith. He devoted many years of service as a Deacon at Oakdale Baptist Church, where he not only worshipped and served but also helped construct the church building itself. He lived his faith quietly and humbly, with a heart for others and a steadfast spirit.

Barnard had many joys in life. He loved animals — especially dogs — and had a special affection for Pomeranians and German Shepherds. His loyal companion Charlie remained faithfully by his side in his final days, offering comfort and love.

He also had a passion for speed, big engines, and racing. A true NASCAR fan, Barnard never lost the thrill of horsepower and open roads. Even in his last days, he proudly told a nurse, "I was fast — some people are just born with speed!" That love of motion and energy was part of his spirit throughout his life.

Something many people may not have known is that Barnard was also an exceptional cook. He especially loved preparing smoked turkeys for the holidays — a simple act of care that he used to show comfort, kindness, and love to those around him.

In quieter moments, Barnard enjoyed being an avid coin collector, taking great interest and pride in the history, craftsmanship, and stories behind each piece he found.

Barnard's greatest joy, however, was always his family. Through his daughter Devona, he is survived by granddaughter Ellana Eibeck and her husband Jake Eibeck of Anchorage, Alaska, and great-grandchildren Ellie Eibeck and Elias Eibeck. Through his son Bobby and daughter-in-law Jamie Robin, he is survived by granddaughter Alexandra Moore. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life and a source of constant pride and joy.

He will be remembered as a hardworking man with a big heart, a quiet strength, and a grit that carried him through life's challenges with dignity. His legacy lives on in the smiles he restored, the people he helped, and the family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

A visitation to honor Barnard's life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Following the visitation, a private burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to McLeod Hospice in Barnard's memory.

He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
