A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Robert Leon Dove, 81, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Joe Willard officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mr. Dove entered into rest on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born in Dillon, SC, he was a son of the late Reuben Dove and the late Inez Morris Dove. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a carpenter by trade who enjoyed his work. He also enjoyed fishing and helping people.

Left to cherish his memory are his companion, Mary Kathy Ammons; daughters, Jennifer Konsul, Tara Dove-VanWormer (Daniel), Rebecca Dove; sister, Betty Dove Byrd; son-in-law, Tony Konsul; grandchildren, Courtney Konsul (Karl Fleming), Paige Huffstetler (Zach), Emily VanWormer, Nathan VanWormer, Finley Beard, Mack Beard; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob, Adaleigh; special nieces, Debbie Kidd, Kathy Tiller; special nephew, Neal Byrd, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wilmer Dove, Reuben K. Dove, Jr., Genaire "Jerry" Dove, Legrand Dove, Curtis L. Dove; brother-in-law, Neal Byrd.
